1. Core Principle
Readers should be able to clearly distinguish independent editorial coverage from paid, sponsored, commissioned, affiliate, promotional, or otherwise commercially influenced material before relying on or acting upon it.
CyberVista Global does not accept payment in exchange for undisclosed editorial endorsement, fabricated independence, guaranteed favorable conclusions, hidden commercial relationships, suppression of legitimate criticism, or avoidance of legitimate corrections.
Commercial relationships may support CyberVista Global’s operations, reporting, research, events, and other activities. However, those relationships must not mislead readers about who funded content, who participated in producing it, who supplied information, or whether CyberVista Global independently reached the conclusions presented.
Our commercial relationships do not override our commitment to accuracy, transparency, editorial integrity, and reader trust.
2. Labels We Use
CyberVista Global uses clear labels to help readers understand the commercial nature of content.
Sponsored identifies content funded by an advertiser, sponsor, or commercial partner and produced by, with, or for CyberVista Global under a commercial arrangement.
Partner Content identifies material created in collaboration with a named commercial, institutional, technology, cybersecurity, or other partner. This label does not imply that the material constitutes independent journalism.
Advertisement identifies a promotional message primarily controlled by the advertiser.
Affiliate Disclosure identifies content containing affiliate links, promotional codes, referral mechanisms, or other arrangements through which CyberVista Global may receive a commission or other benefit when a reader completes a qualifying action.
Supported by may be used where a funder provides financial, technical, institutional, or other support for a project without controlling its editorial findings or conclusions. Where appropriate, the nature of that relationship and relevant editorial safeguards will be explained.
Commercial labels should appear prominently at or before the beginning of relevant content and remain reasonably visible across desktop and mobile versions.
Labels should not be concealed solely in a footer, hover state, color treatment, or vague wording such as “special feature.”
3. Editorial and Commercial Separation
Commercial personnel may discuss matters such as format, audience, scheduling, factual product information, legal requirements, technical specifications, campaign requirements, and agreed commercial deliverables.
They may not instruct independent editors or journalists to:
- Reach a predetermined editorial conclusion
- Remove verified criticism
- Conceal the identity of a sponsor
- Suppress a legitimate correction
- Misrepresent advertising as independent journalism
- Alter independent reporting for commercial advantage
- Suppress relevant cybersecurity risks or technical limitations
Sponsored and partner content may be reviewed for factual accuracy, substantiation, legality, safety, intellectual property, accessibility, technical clarity, and compliance with CyberVista Global’s editorial standards.
A sponsor may review factual information about its own products, services, organization, technology, or confidential business matters where appropriate. Such review does not give the sponsor control over unrelated editorial coverage or CyberVista Global’s future reporting.
Payment for advertising, sponsorship, affiliate arrangements, events, research, or other commercial services does not purchase editorial independence or guarantee favorable coverage.
4. Substantiation and Safety
Commercial claims published by CyberVista Global should be reasonably supportable and presented in a manner that does not materially mislead readers.
Claims may receive additional scrutiny where they concern:
- Cybersecurity protection or effectiveness
- Privacy and data protection
- Software or hardware performance
- Vulnerability detection or remediation
- Threat intelligence
- Artificial intelligence capabilities
- Financial or investment matters
- Health or safety
- Regulatory or legal compliance
- Comparative product performance
- Environmental or sustainability claims
- Testimonials and endorsements
- Claims concerning security certifications or standards
A disclaimer does not make a materially false, deceptive, or misleading central claim acceptable.
CyberVista Global may reject, restrict, or remove commercial material involving:
- Unlawful goods or services
- Fraud or deceptive schemes
- Deceptive investment opportunities
- Unsafe or unsupported medical claims
- Exploitation
- Hate or extremist advocacy
- Non-consensual sexual material
- Trafficking
- Malicious software or harmful services
- Unlawful surveillance
- Academic cheating
- Impersonation or identity deception
- Counterfeit goods
- Deliberate distribution of harmful or deceptive cybersecurity claims
- Other material inconsistent with applicable law, safety requirements, or public trust
5. Affiliate Content
Affiliate relationships should be disclosed before or near the first relevant affiliate link and, where appropriate, prominently at the beginning of the article or page.
The possibility of receiving an affiliate commission does not guarantee a positive review, favorable assessment, recommendation, ranking, or inclusion.
Where relevant, affiliate content should explain the basis for the recommendation, including selection criteria, testing methods, product access arrangements, material limitations, sponsorship relationships, or other factors that could affect a reader’s assessment.
Affiliate and paid links should be technically marked using an appropriate sponsored or nofollow relationship where required by applicable search-engine guidance, platform requirements, or other relevant rules.
CyberVista Global does not sell undisclosed or unmarked links for the purpose of manipulating search rankings.
Affiliate relationships should not compromise the accuracy, independence, or integrity of product, software, service, cybersecurity, or technology coverage.
6. Sponsored Research, Reports, and Events
Sponsors of research, cybersecurity reports, technology studies, events, newsletters, editorial series, webinars, conferences, or special projects should be identified where appropriate.
Disclosures should explain the nature of the sponsor’s involvement, including whether the sponsor:
- Selected or influenced the topic
- Supplied data or research material
- Funded reporting or research
- Provided technical access or products
- Provided expert sources
- Reviewed draft material
- Suggested sources or contributors
- Had any role in the methodology
- Had any role in the conclusions
- Had no editorial control
CyberVista Global will use a statement of editorial independence only where the actual operational arrangements support that claim.
If a sponsor is itself the subject of the research, reporting, investigation, review, or analysis, the commercial relationship should be disclosed prominently.
Where independent editorial judgment cannot reasonably be protected, the material should be treated and labeled as commercial content rather than independent editorial coverage.
7. Contributors, Experts, and Personal Relationships
Authors, journalists, researchers, analysts, experts, and other contributors should disclose material relationships that could reasonably affect the credibility or interpretation of their work.
Relevant relationships may include:
- Compensation from a company or organization being covered
- Employment or consulting relationships
- Investments or financial interests
- Free products, software, services, or equipment
- Sponsored travel or accommodation
- Speaking or appearance fees
- Advisory relationships
- Family or close personal relationships
- Other significant commercial relationships
A contributor’s personal disclosure does not replace CyberVista Global’s responsibility to apply the appropriate commercial-content label where one is required.
Where a contributor’s relationship could materially affect the credibility or interpretation of an article, CyberVista Global may apply additional editorial safeguards or provide additional public disclosure.
Contributors must not use their CyberVista Global role to obtain undisclosed personal, commercial, political, or financial benefits.
8. Corrections, Removal, and Archives
Sponsored, partner, affiliate, and other commercial material remains subject to appropriate accuracy standards and factual corrections.
Payment or sponsorship does not prevent CyberVista Global from correcting, annotating, updating, restricting, or removing content where necessary because it has become materially inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, unsafe, or inconsistent with applicable editorial standards.
Where reasonably appropriate, archived commercial content should retain its original commercial label and relevant sponsor identification after a campaign or commercial relationship has ended.
A commercial partner may request a factual correction or clarification concerning its own products, services, or organization. It may not purchase the removal of a legitimate correction, disclosure, criticism, or public-interest statement.
Corrections should not be withheld solely because the affected material was commercially supported.
9. Data and Privacy
Advertising, affiliate, analytics, measurement, and other tracking technologies are governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy applicable to CyberVista Global.
Optional tracking technologies should not be activated before valid consent where consent is legally required.
Commercial partners do not receive unrestricted access to:
- Reader identities
- Confidential source information
- Complaint records
- Private correspondence
- Unpublished editorial plans
- Sensitive editorial research
- Non-public information obtained through journalistic activities
Commercial relationships must not be used to circumvent applicable privacy, data protection, confidentiality, or information-security requirements.
CyberVista Global expects commercial partners and service providers to handle reader and business information in accordance with applicable contractual, legal, privacy, and security requirements.
10. Political and Issue Advertising
Political, election, referendum, advocacy, or issue-based advertising, if accepted, requires appropriate sponsor verification, jurisdictional review, clear labeling, and compliance with applicable transparency and advertising requirements.
Such advertising must never be presented as independent editorial coverage.
CyberVista Global may decline political or issue-based advertising where:
- The sponsor’s identity cannot be adequately verified
- Applicable legal or transparency requirements cannot be satisfied
- The advertising could materially mislead readers
- Adequate protection of editorial independence cannot be assured
- The content presents unacceptable legal, safety, or public-trust risks
Acceptance of political or issue-based advertising does not imply endorsement of the political position, candidate, political party, campaign, organization, movement, or policy promoted.
Editorial coverage concerning political or public-policy subjects remains subject to CyberVista Global’s applicable editorial standards regardless of whether related advertising has been accepted.
